Kathryn "Kat" Gordon is a seasoned government affairs specialist with over twenty years of experience working in NYS government, with significant experience in healthcare policy, administration, and advocacy.

After spending a decade working in the NYS Senate as the legislative director for two Senators, Kat then transitioned to directing government affairs efforts for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG District II), and the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS), a statewide hospital association and New York’s largest administrator of family home care.

In these roles she managed and negotiated legislative and regulatory policies to provide for the collection of healthcare workforce data from all licensed professionals, designate pregnancy as a qualifying health condition for insurance enrollment, protect the role of pharmacy technicians through certification, initiate the codification of reproductive rights and protections, and ensure fair administration of statewide home care service contracts.

She has also aided multiple taskforces and nonprofit boards including the 2023 Food as Medicine taskforce, the Hudson Mohawk Area Health Education Center, performing duties as Board Vice President and Program Advisory Committee Chair, and for the diabetes community she led policy efforts and fundraising for the American Diabetes Association and JDRF.

Kathryn resides in New York’s Capital Region with her son and their family of feline and canine beasts.
