Liz Robins is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in legislative and regulatory affairs. She brings a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective on policy, shaped by a dynamic career spanning litigation, legislative strategy, and regulatory implementation.

Liz began her legal career at the New York City Law Department’s Labor and Employment Division, where she defended the City of New York and its agencies in cases involving city, state, and federal law. She then joined the New York State Senate Office of Majority Counsel, advising the Senate Majority Leader and members of the Senate Democratic Conference on legislative matters. Her portfolio included guiding activity for the Senate Committees on Labor, Civil Service & Pensions, and Elections, drafting legislation, and representing the Senate Majority in high-stakes budget and chapter amendment negotiations.

Most recently, Liz served as Regulatory and Legislative Counsel at the New York State Department of Labor, where she led legislative implementation and regulatory initiatives.

Liz earned her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of her class. She holds a B.A. in American Political Culture from Binghamton University.

A lifelong Queens resident, Liz lives in Forest Hills with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, attending concerts, and sharing her favorite local attractions—such as the New York Hall of Science, Queens Botanical Gardens, and Queens Night Market—with her family.
